Malaysia – What it could have been

If Anwar was not ousted and thrown into jail by Mahathir, this GE would be Anwar’s third term in office as the PM of Malaysia. Or Anwar could step down and this would be Najib’s first term. Badawi would not have been the PM and Khairy would have been Anwar’s son in law.

The next ‘what it could have been’ is akan datang. Najib could be forced to step down. And things would get a bit messy if the future next PM is meant to be Mukhriz. If Mahathir wants to slate him in as the PM, it would be one after whoever is to succeed Najib after he steps down. The whole game plan would be built around Mukhriz. If he is to be the PM, he must be the next Dep PM. This would mean either he is deputy to Muhyiddin, thus bypassing Hishammuddin and Khairy, a very tough act to do. Hishammuddin is not going to make way and he has strong grassroot support to back him for the post.

The possibility of PM Muhyiddin and Dep PM Hishammuddin would mean Mukhriz would have to mark time as the Education Minister. Khairy can be forgotten with Badawi not in the PM seat and when Mahathir is calling the shot. But this scenario is still not good enough for Mukhriz as it could be another 20 years if both Muhyiddin and Hishammuddin would to remain for two terms.

A more likely outcome would be to engineer the removal of either Muhyiddin or Hishammuddin to go with Najib. That would put the Dep PM slot open for Mukhriz and he could be nicely placed to take over after whoever replaces Najib.

What would have been if Najib is removed, the possibility is getting clearer by the day and now it is up to Najib and Mrs Najib to hold on to the fort and defend the Mahathir onslaught to replace him. This would demand the skill of the greatest political strategist or genius to walk this tightrope and stay on course.

What could have been or would have been, who would be the PM this time next year, is being shaped today.

"What could have been" is an illusion lah. We live IN THE PRESENT, and have to deal with more "bad stuff" than good, which makes "good stuff" really valuable, and definitely something to strive for.

UMNO is back in. As much as I hope they would all fuck off and die, fact is they are one the most formidable political organizations in modern history. Even Anwar was once one of UMNO's "movers and shakers".

As soon as BN annouced victory, the Malaysian bourse jumped several percent -- as per my "pet theory" about The Sheeple liking a bit of FACISIM, and don't mind if their human rights and civil liberties are violated occasionally.

The Malaysians Get The UMNO They Deserve

Najib Razak may not be as easy to remove as Badawi.
I believe the Malaysian People want UMNO out more than having Najib replaced.
HOWEVER, some in UMNO could be harbouring and maybe even plotting to take over the Premiership.

If Najib could engineer more people friendly policies and remove those corrupt officials, Malaysians could have a good PM in him. Najib can make himself a good PM. Of course he has to be very mindful of those plotting to take over his position.

umno is trying to get friendly with pas. the newly deposed pas chief minister of kedah is hospitalised. he was visited by mahathir's son, the king & queen and other royals and other bn bigshots. even najib yesterday asked the nation to pray for him. pas hates umno but if umno agrees to implement hudud (apply muslim law on muslims), then pas cannot reject umno. if pas is united with umno, umno will brand pkr traitors for alligning itself with dap. pkr will become a minority party when anwar gets too old or jailed. even nurul izzah can't save pkr. najib will play the race card to the hilt: malay unity, etc. this is the direction i think he is heading. even mahathir will accept pas. such people will do anything to retain power.
pas spiritual leader, the recently retired chief minister of kelantan, nik aziz, is very old and sickly. he will never accept umno as he is super clean. his influence will wane and i don't see him living till the next general election in 2018. however, the other leaders, especially hadi awang, are more open to unity with umno. there were some negotiations between hadi and umno in 2008/2009 when umno got scared when anuar was trying to get east malaysian mps to cross parliament. but nik aziz rejected umno's offer even though hadi was quite receptive and they had a fall-out. najib knows he can't rely on chinese support now as they are too angry. the indians are too few. unity with pas will buy umno a decade or 2 more of rule. if it is prolonged, then the chinese in malaysia will be as politically weak as the malays in singapore.
Najib, utusan, etc is saying racist stuff because he wants the net citizens to bash malays. he'll say, 'look, this is what the chinese, indians say about you. malays must unite if not the malays will not rule their own land, etc so i extend my hand to pas.' people are just eating into his hands. the s'pore regime is also complicit in this. they are helping najib. the top 1% (whether in s'pore or m'sia) play the race card, get the different races, the 99% to get angry with each other and uses this enmity to control them. the top 1% do not give a rat's arse about race. they just use it. they only care for power. when you have power you have everything.
for najib, it's 'we malays should be scared of chinese, see what's happening to s'pore, malay no power. you want that to happen to you? so vote for me, even though my policies are racist, we need to protect the malays.'
for lky & son, it's 'you chinese, see what's happening in malaysia, chinese get thrown here and there. we are surrounded by a sea of green. vote for me i will protect you. never mind if my policies are racist, they are necessary to protect s'pore.'
both leaders tell you the same thing. but they are actually personally not racist at all. they just make use of racism and they are both in cahoots (look at the deals they made with each other. both laughing laughing eating durian. these 2 make use of your fear to control you. the people get fooled. don't be stupid. don't get fooled. if you get fooled, then like matilah always say, you get the government you deserve, whether pappy or umno

But one of the best parts of this story is UMNO and PAP hate and distrust each other.

Lucky for both Singaporeans and Malaysians. Just imagine how MORE FUCKED UP it would be if the two parties were friendly with each other?!?

Attacking the Chinese to divert attention from the election fraud. Once violence flares up, election fraud forgotten, Anwar forgotten.

Najib and UMNO rule.

When the Emperor is strong,
& the Generals are strong,
the country will expand,
because ambitious generals have to look outwards.

When the Emperor is strong,
& the Generals are weak,
the country will remain unchanged,
because weak generals are unable to do anything.

When the Emperor is weak,
& the Generals are strong,
the country will be in civil war,
because ambitious generals will look inwards to become the next emperor.

When the Emperor is weak,
& the Generals are weak,
the country will be conquered,
because weak generals are unable to defend the country.

Do you think we have a good Prime Minister?
Do you think we have good Ministers?

i don't know matilah. the days of tunku and lky, mahathir and lky, they hate each other. i think with najib and lhl, it could be love-hate. or perhaps, they only pretend to hate, so that they can screw the people.

If you're right...Shit. That's even worse.

The plot is to have Najib ousted and his position usurped within UMNO using the result of the GE that is taking centre stage now.
Najib will not be easy meat and he has performed well.

Najib's enemy is not the Chinese but those in UMNO. They smell the blood of a wounded prey.

that's why najib is pretending to be hard on the chinese now. to appease the ultras in umno. he is doing this to survive.

I am chinese and i think Najib is the best PM malaysia ever had. There is no killing of chinese or indians in his rule and malaysia enjoying good economic and standard of living progress. I am not sure what Anwar can bring to his country. When he was deputy pm, malaysia also did not perform better. UnNO itself is not united so they will try to kill each other whenever there is a chance which is a shame. I think it is silly for him to use race or religion cos in this era, that reflects badly on his political career. Many malays have chinese blood in them.

FinFisher used in "surveillance" in and possibly after the GE -- some bloggers have been arrested.

It seems that the folks in Putrajaya have gotten together with some folks from Cyberjaya to stomp all over the people and their rights -- mainly the right not to have your computer hacked...especially by your own government.

Be careful Singaporeans. Direct your kiasu-ness into areas which really matter: your well-being and your security.

It will be interesting indeed! With sons and son-in-law of past PMs aiming for the seat of power, there will be a tussle behind the 'wayang kulit' screen if Najib gets kicked out.

And to be sure there will be long lines of cronies supporting each one and waiting for the rich rewards to be dished out if they bet on the right horse. This is a great time for the opportunist and boot lickers to show their skills in manouvering for positions in UMNO.

Najib is not easy to get rid off. He has learned much from Sinkapore. Giving lollipops is one of the tactics he used earlier. Probably pushing boundaries is another as the opposition had claimed. Then there was the unsophisticated blackout plot which cannot be credited to red dot. It was rather too obvious and co-incidental.

Now, proving those things is not easy and even futile. Just like the murder case of the Mongolian lady.

Najib can sack his propaganda manager who is doing a really bad job.
